About This Adventure

Embark on a mesmerizing bioluminescent kayaking tour, launching from Guana Dam at sunset. Witness the enchanting glow of saltwater organisms as day turns to night, creating a magical display beneath your kayak. This unique experience combines nature's beauty with the thrill of exploration, making it an unforgettable adventure.

Many different organisms create a soft blue or greenish glow in a saltwater environment at night to communicate, attract or when agitated. During our bioluminescent kayaking tour you can experience for yourself. We launch from the sandy beach at Guana Dam just before sunset and watch the colors in the sunset sky fade as the glow of the water below light up.

Adventure Tips

Book After Sunset for Peak Glow

Wear Lightweight, Quick-Dry Clothing

Expect to get splashed; moisture-wicking gear keeps you comfortable and dry.

Bring a Waterproof Light

A waterproof headlamp or flashlight helps during prep and post-tour return but avoid shining it on the water to preserve night vision.

Balance Weight in Your Kayak

Even weight distribution aids stability while gliding silently over fragile waters.
