Conclude your adventure with a hearty lunch at the Royal Oak Pub, creating unforgettable memories.
Duration: 6 hours
The Ebike Tour can either start in Brighton, Devils Dyke or the Royal Oak Poynings. We have three departure points to accommodate riders that are not so confident riding mountain bikes in terrain that can be challenging.
Riding from Brighton over to Devils Dyke is easy however riding from Devils Dyke down into the Estate is not so easy with very steep declines which are off road. Most people that can ride a bike confidently will have no issue with it.
The ride from Brighton to Devils Dyke is around 45 mins, then to the estate is another 30 mins.
At the estate we spend time sampling wines and cheeses etc then continue on to the Royal Oak Pub in Poynings for lunch as the Estate doesn't provide lunch. We then ride back over to Devils Dyke and down to Brighton. Wine Tasting is an extra cost £28.50 pp The tour involves a walk over rough ground and grass in the vineyard so please wear appropriate footwear. During the guided tasting you will taste four of our wines (a sparkling, two still and our ever-popular English Vermouth) matched with samples of local Sussex cheeses. ALLERGY NOTES: The cheeses provided for our tastings are made from sheep and cow’s milk. One of the sheep milk cheeses is unpasteurised. Please advise us in advance if you have any allergy concerns. Either before or after your tour you will have the opportunity to visit our Tasting Room & Shop to enjoy a further glass of wine or purchase some wines to take home. We also serve local Sussex Cheese and Charcuterie and Hampshire Potted Chalk Stream Trout boards in our Tasting Room which can be booked in advance during the check-out process or may be ordered on the day (subject to availability).
