Requirements

Meet at our Big Bend Stables at 9AM

  • Min Age Requirement: 6 Years Old. -6 year olds will ride a donkey and be led by a wrangler
  • Max Weight: 270 lbs -Horse riding is an athletic activity and you must be able to mount up & balance yourself in the saddle
  • 2 Liters of water in handheld bottles per rider

About

  • All of our rides are nose to tail at a walk
  • Ride includes elevation changes, some sloping terrain
  • Take a ride through history: a tour on horseback of the last working quicksilver mine in the Big Bend area. We wind our way through the ruins of human history and drop down into Rough Run Creek, looping back towards the stables.
  • We ride horses, donkeys and mules!
  • Your wranglers work for tips, so if you like your ride, kiss your horse and be sure to tip your guide!
