Saint Jean de Luz: is a lovely little fishing port on the Basque coast just South of Biarritz. We’ll drive through Ciboure, Socoa, and along the Corniche Basque, then up into the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains towards the lovely French Basque mountain town of Ainhoa.
After Ainhoa we head to Espellette: In this Basque town the houses have a special decoration – they’re covered with strands of red peppers!
Saint Juan de Gaztelugatxe: This lovely chapel built on the picturesque island on the Northern Atlantic Spanish Coast was used during the filming of Game Of Thrones!
The walk up the stairs to Saint Juan de Gaztelugatxe can be steep and uneven, so comfortable footwear is essential.
