The morning opens above Granada at Puerto del Purche, where cold mountain air and the first sunline across the valley pull you to the trailhead. Riders mount electric mountain bikes and push off into a landscape that alternates between tight ravines and open viewpoints; rock faces lean in as if daring you to keep moving, and the pines breathe cool relief on every climb.
