The Atlantic is a tactile guide as you push off from the sand at Benagil Beach—salted wind pressing at your face, limestone cliffs rising like weathered pages of a geological ledger. In a compact two-hour circuit, paddlers thread through sea-sculpted arches, skirt grotto mouths, and stop beneath the sunhole of Algar de Benagil, the cave that draws photographers and curiosity in equal measure.

No—basic paddling is taught at the briefing and guides lead the group; a moderate fitness level is recommended.
Entry depends on tide and swell; guides assess safety on the day and will approach the cave only when conditions allow.
