The tour opens on the ramparts of Belgrade Fortress where the city’s rivers unfurl below and stone walls keep the noise of the streets at bay. Walking these terraces, you feel the Sava and Danube daring you to scan the horizon; towers and modern blocks trade places in a city of layers. The guide moves with easy authority, folding local stories into each view.
