Troggs Surf School is a surf and paddleboarding school based in Portrush, Northern Ireland. The school runs a range of water-sport experiences designed for beginners through intermediate participants, including group surf lessons, private and one-to-one coaching, stand-up paddleboard (SUP) lessons, sunset sessions, and a four-day Summer Kids Camp. All lessons are delivered by highly qualified ISA instructors who emphasise safety, skill progression and local beach knowledge.
Equipment is provided for every session, and changing facilities are available for guests. The Summer Kids Camp includes four days of 1.5-hour lessons focused on progression and beach safety, while one-to-one lessons offer personalised hourly coaching tailored to individual goals. Group private lessons and standard group lessons are structured around two-hour coaching blocks to maximise learning and exercise. SUP lessons and Sunset SUP experiences explore the rocky coastline towards Ramore Head and views of the Skerries islands. Select experiences include a complimentary photo package to capture participant progress and group events.
Troggs Surf School also caters for special occasions with tailored hen and stag party packages that combine surf coaching, fitness and fun. The school’s reliance on ISA-qualified instructors, locally oriented coaching, all-inclusive equipment and clear session formats supports a trustworthy and reliable experience for families, groups and solo visitors. Lessons are suitable for a wide age range and focus on measurable skill improvement, safety and memorable time in the water.
Bookings are available throughout the summer season with flexible group sizes and options for photo packages to document progress and group memories easily.
