About This Adventure

Experience the thrill of diving with the SSI Basic Diver Program! Enjoy two dives, including a deeper exploration where you'll master buoyancy control, allowing you to glide effortlessly underwater. This unique adventure promises a sense of weightlessness and freedom, making it an unforgettable introduction to the underwater world.

This is the other SSI program for beginners.

Plan for a bit more time since you’ll be making 2 dives. Approximately 4-5 hours.

The first dive follows the same procedure as the Try Dive.

Then, we’ll take a second dive where we can go a little deeper, if you’re up for it. But don’t worry, we won’t exceed 12 meters.

We’ll have another briefing to go over the dive. And now, we’ll take it a step further.

We’ll show you how to use the buoyancy control device so you can adjust your buoyancy. This gives you more freedom to move around.

You’ll feel weightless… as if you’re flying.

You’ve already had a taste of diving on the first dive, and on this second one, you’re going to enjoy it even more.

Requirements to Join the SSI Basic Diver Program

  • Be at least 10 years old
  • Fill out a medical questionnaire and the SSI forms provided at the center

Adventure Tips

Control Your Buoyancy

Mastering buoyancy is key to a smooth dive; focus on slow, controlled breaths to stay neutrally buoyant underwater.

Check Your Gear Beforehand

Always inspect your mask, fins, and regulator for a perfect fit to avoid discomfort during dives.

Stay Hydrated

Even in cool water, dehydration can sneak up; drink plenty of water before and after your dive.

Listen to Your Instructor

Follow all safety instructions closely, especially during deeper dives where pressure changes increase.
