About This Adventure

Experience the thrill of stand-up paddleboarding with a 60-minute instructor-led lesson designed for beginners. Gain confidence as you learn to paddle in small, intimate classes at Santa Cruz Harbor. After your lesson, enjoy an additional 30 minutes of free paddling, making unforgettable memories on the water.

This is a 60-minute instructor-led lesson, essential for people who have limited water experience and need tuition for their first time paddling. After 60 minutes, you are free to paddle for an extra 30 minutes at your leisure around the Santa Cruz Harbor. Instructors will give you the confidence to stand up on the board and coach you through your first stokes standing on the SUP. You’ll be paddling like a pro around the Santa Cruz Harbor in no time.

Classes at the SUP Shack are small and intimate, with no more than six students per class as conveniently regulated by the Santa Cruz Harbor. Our Discover SUP lessons start promptly at 9 a.m. We request that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the start time so our staff can properly fit you with the right equipment. Late arrivals are rescheduled for the next available date.
