Join this engaging 4-week sewing course to enhance your skills and create your own trousers or blouse/shirt! Guided by professional designer Andrea, you'll learn advanced techniques and work with organic materials of your choice. Classes are flexible and available in Dutch and English, making it perfect for all skill levels.

Did you follow the Beginner Sewing Course 1.0 and would you like to continue and learn more things? Or do you have a little bit of experience but you need a refresher? Then this could be a nice 4-week course for you!
In the first course you learned to make your own tote bag and your first garment. You learned the basics on the sewing machine and probably also on the serger.
For the second course we will make a follow-up garment. With this course you can decide to make your own trousers or blouse/shirt. Also for this course you can use the patterns that are developed by De Steek. For women you can choose between a wide-legged pleated pants or a raglan-sleeve blouse. Men can choose a pantalon with an elastic waist or buttoned shirt.
Follow this 4-lesson course in the Sewing Cafe on the days/times of your preference. The course is 2 hours per lesson. Guidance is provided by professional fashion designer Andrea. Classes are both in Dutch and English. You can start in the week of your wishes. This course takes place in Amsterdam De Pijp.
••You can add the materials you will need or bring your own in this course. If you choose the materials included, you will get the organic materials to make your own trousers or blouse/shirt. For this you can choose the fabric yourself in our store. If you choose to follow the course without materials, you will get an e-mail with a little list of the materials you need to bring.**

You are paying for the complete course upon completing your booking. You are also choosing the day and time you will be doing the first lesson. On your email confirmation you will receive a code in which you can use to book online the remaining of your 3 lessons included in this course. Alternatively, you can let us know when you want to follow the second, third and fourth lesson and we’ll plan it flexibly in for you

This class takes place in our studio in Amsterdam De Pijp: Eerste Jacob van Campenstraat 40 in Amsterdam.
Please note that for the remainder of February classes will be in our East location at Christiaan de Wetstraat 114 in Amsterdam.
Classes in our new location in De Pijp will only take place from 01 March.
Opt to bring materials from home or select organic fabrics from the in-store collection to tailor your project.
Book your first lesson with your preferred schedule, then arrange the following three sessions flexibly as your time allows.
Get comfortable with the sewing machines and layout before class starts to maximize lesson time.
If you choose to practice with your own garments, select items you’re ready to experiment on or adjust.
