More ways to explore the area's outdoor wonders

The Green Escape Beach Cleanup invites young adventurers aged 16-30 to make a tangible difference along a stunning coastal stretch. Based in a vibrant seaside community, this event transforms a simple beach walk into an engaging environmental mission. Participants join a guided stroll along the shoreline, where the focus isn't just on collecting litter but also on understanding the impact of pollution on local ecosystems. The beach itself features expansive sands dotted with unique shells, rocky outcrops, and patches of native dune vegetation, making it rich in both natural beauty and marine life. Visitors may spot seabirds, crabs, and occasionally, playful seals near the coast, adding to the encounter's excitement. What sets this experience apart is its dual purpose: promoting environmental awareness while fostering community spirit through hands-on action that extends beyond cleanup—trash is repurposed into creative new products, highlighting sustainability in a practical way. This initiative has become a cornerstone for local conservation efforts, contributing to cleaner waters and healthier habitats. Whether you're a local eco-warrior or a visitor seeking meaningful engagement, this event provides an accessible and impactful way to connect with nature and leave a positive footprint. The team at Green Escape seamlessly blends fun, community, and environmental responsibility, making each cleanup more than just a task—it's a vital step toward preserving the area's natural charm. Afterward, participants can relax knowing they played a role in protecting this coastal gem, all while making new friends and gaining insight into local conservation efforts.

About Juttersgeluk

Juttersgeluk is a Zandvoort‑based beach cleanup organisation that runs guided coastal cleanups, educational walks, and community events focused on reducing plastic pollution. Operating on the beaches of Zandvoort in Noord‑Holland, Juttersgeluk brings together volunteers, families, young adults and businesses to collect litter, sort findings and learn about the causes and solutions to the plastic soup.

Programs include public cleanup days, a youth‑focused Green Escape for ages 16–30, family‑friendly excursions where children join free with a paying adult, and bespoke corporate outings (Jouw eigen Jutevenement) that combine team building with environmental action. One scheduled event is the Kennemer Clean Up Day on Thursday 18 September 2025, which is advertised as a day to learn, collect and see how plastic can be transformed into circular products.

Juttersgeluk emphasises hands‑on education: participants join guided beach walks, practice litter sorting, and hear about circular reuse of collected materials. Activities are led by volunteers and organisers who focus on safe, structured cleanups suited to different groups. The organisation is presented as community‑oriented and practical, with events designed to be both rewarding and memorable for participants of various ages and group types.
