About

On this journey, you will cross the open water of the west channel to discover the wonders of the quarried Basswood Island. Explore the Fedora shipwreck, hike to Basswood’s brownstone quarry, and spend time swimming and eating lunch on the sand beach.

More info

  • Paddlers must be at least 14 years old.
  • Teenagers (ages 14-17) may paddle in any position in a tandem kayak with another member from their party
  • One adult (18+) must be present on all trips involving minors.

  • If you have children in your group younger than 14 years old, please DO NOT sign up for this tour. Instead, sign up for our Family Tour, where triple kayaks will be available for children ages 8-13 years

What to bring
