About This Adventure

Our Basic pontoons are beautiful boats but smaller, lower powered, and more economical than our larger luxury tritoons. This 20' pontoon offers dual captains chairs in the rear, perfect for lounging or fishing, along with traditional cruiser seats up front for relaxing and catching some sun. As with all boats in our fleet, this boat is equipped with a 4-cycle Yamaha outboard, giving plenty of power to get you around safely on the mighty Mississippi!

Minnesota Watercraft Operator's Permit (REQUIRED)

  • Effective July 1, 2025, anyone Minnesota Resident operating a motorized rental boat must have a Minnesota Watercraft Operator's Permit. Getting a permit is fast and easy. Operators can follow the link below to get their permit. https://boaterexam.com/usa/minnesota/

  • Operators from outside Minnesota must either be compliant with their home state regulations or must hold a Minnesota Watercraft Operator's Permit as described above.

  • Renters, it is your responsibility to make sure only qualified operators are allowed to drive the rental boat. You must have at least one permit holder on-board, or you will not be able to leave the dock. The permit must be presented to Pool 4 Adventures staff and be available to law enforcement should they want to check.

  • Pontoons are in slips in the heart of Wabasha! Walking distance from downtown, and only minutes by boat to Lake Pepin, sand beaches, and restaurants in Wabasha, Lake City, and Pepin Wisconsin. Plenty of free parking.

  • Float pads. Aren't these the greatest? Not just for kids but for the grown-ups too!

What To Know

  • Renter must be at least 25 years of age. Operators must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license and no DWI/DUI convictions in the past 3 years.
  • Toys (tow lines included). For safety reasons we cannot allow you to bring your own towables, tow lines, or large float pads. Feel free to bring your own small stowable toys as long as they do not interfere with passenger safety.

Bring insect repellent

Mosquitoes and gnats are common near the water, especially in the evening. Use repellent to stay comfortable.

Check weather before heading out

Weather can change quickly on the river; monitor forecasts and dress in layers accordingly.

Wear non-slip shoes
