Stepping through the low portal of St. Francis Church on Křížovnické náměstí, the city’s noise falls away and the organ’s pipes seem to breathe history back into the room. Candlelight reflections on carved wood, the hush of visitors settling into pews of original baroque design — the first chord arrives and the instrument’s restored baroque tuning fills the vaults with a sound that once carried Mozart’s hands.

Performances run approximately 60 minutes.
Seats are assigned by the agency and limited to the church’s capacity; booking secures your spot but not a specific pew in advance.
Photography is usually discouraged during the performance to protect the acoustic environment; check with staff before the concert for any exceptions.
Yes — the organ was built in 1702 and underwent major restoration in 2015 to restore its baroque tuning and playing condition.
The church interior dates to the early 18th century and holds an organ built in 1702 by Abraham Stark; notable composers including Mozart and Dvořák have historic ties to the instrument.
Visitors help preserve the instrument and interior by following rules on photography and noise; the concert series supports ongoing maintenance and respectful use of the historic space.
