Morning light slices the Bow Valley as the coach weaves toward Banff — rocky ridgelines crowd the horizon and the river seems to dare you to come closer. By midmorning you’ll be riding the Banff Gondola, a glass-windowed lift that climbs 698 meters (2,292 ft) to Sulphur Mountain in about eight minutes; the boardwalk at the summit opens up views across six ranges and the Bow Valley, with wind and sky playing at the edges.

The main catwalk to the Lower and Upper Falls is family-friendly and mostly flat with stairs; those with mobility limits should take care on stairs and icy sections in winter.
From Sept 2 through end of December the operator may substitute Cave & Basin National Historic Site; winter may also require provided crampons for icy trails.
