Moderate fitness — you should be comfortable with short periods of standing on footpegs and using core strength to control the machine.
No — 250cc ATVs are suitable for beginners and guides provide instruction, but choose higher-powered machines only if you have off-road experience.
Most bookings include private air‑conditioned return hotel transfer; confirm your pickup point at booking.
Long pants, closed‑toe shoes, and a lightweight long sleeve or sun shirt; bring sunscreen and a hat for transfer time.
Guides assess conditions and will reroute if a crossing is unsafe; expect splashes and mud — waterproofing items is wise.
Many ATV routes cross land shaped by Bali’s volcanic activity and centuries-old irrigation (subak) systems that sustain rice farming in the region.
Operators often limit group sizes and stick to established tracks to reduce erosion; avoid straying into rice paddies and follow guide instructions to minimize local impact.
