A highland wind cuts across the Sanetti Plateau as the convoy curves up toward 4,000 m; grasslands roll like a slow ocean and the air tastes thin and clean. On day one the group lands in Goba, slips into woodland for a short reconnaissance hike and watches antelope graze at the park headquarters. By day two the landscape opens—alpine moor dotted with giant lobelia—before the route descends into the Harenna Forest, where mist gathers and streams dare you closer.
