About

The most memorable tasting adventure. Experience the heart of the Grand Valley’s fruit and wine country by way of horse-drawn carriage. Our signature horse-drawn wine tours include guided transportation to area wineries by traveling country roads through vineyards and orchards. Your knowledgeable and personable guide will provide a historical and informative narrative along the way.

Guests will receive a monogramed JR’s wine glass to use in the tasting rooms, to enjoy wine while on the carriage, and to keep as a memento. JR’s Carriage Service operates independently of the 25+ wineries in the Grand Valley. Which means your guide will customize your experience to your pallet and tasting objectives. Your group will move through the tasting rooms and venues at your own pace. On average, we will visit between 3 and 7 locations depending on your objectives. In addition to the wineries, your guide can take you to area fruit stands, lavender farms, historical landmarks, breweries, distilleries, and other Palisade novelties. Several of these locations present a unique opportunity to visit behind the scenes operations. Each wagon contains coolers with ice-cold bottled water.

What to Bring

  • Dress for comfort. You will be inside and outside throughout the tour. The wagons are covered so you are in the shade and protected from the elements. Spring and Fall tours can be chilly and Summer tours can be warm.

  • Tasting rooms will require that all 21+ guests have their photo identification.

  • Visit our social media pages “JR’s Carriage Service” to view photos and to prepare for your experience.
