Their heart rate is slower than humans, so it tends to help people relax. They love chin rubs. They will often chew their cud while they cuddle with you which is very calming. Cows do this when they are relaxed and happy. Animals have a gift to help humans relax and heal. Most people when in the presence of an animal, especially a new one, tend to be in the present moment - no worrying about anything and oxytocin is released which makes them feel good.
