This bee farm was a wine production farm where old vines of different varieties can still be seen. The farm nowadays no longer produces wine and is populated by species native to the Azores Island and other important species for bees.
Bees are incredible beings with a high importance for human beings! Do you want to know more about the wonderful world of bees?
In this immersive experience, you'll take on the role of a true beekeeper. We start with a small briefing on safety measures, an explanation of what we are going to do and we move on to discovering the beehives. When opening the hive, you'll discover the different varieties, how the hive is organized, what functions they perform throughout their lives and who knows... find the queen!
At the end, the bees present you with a taste of honey fresh out of the hive and harvested by you.
After booking we will send all the details of the reservation, as well as the location of the farm and the contact of the farmer.
