After your arrival at Bankstown airport, your ACES experience begins with a full briefing on all aspects of the flight, safety procedures, and aircraft details for our Yak 52 military trainer. Once the briefing concludes you’ll strap yourself into the rear seat of this Yak 52 TW.

With our experienced pilots at the helm, your mission starts with a reconnaissance flight over Sydney’s Southern Parklands where your pilot will ease you into the performance of this warbird. Along the way, you'll be able to identify multiple reconnaissance targets and get a unique glimpse of the world below.

Then you’ll fly low level along Sydney's coast line including the famous Bondi Beach and Sydney's harbour heads. But the adventure doesn't stop there. After taking in some breathtaking views, you'll kick into high gear with a variety of simulated combat aerobatics over Sydney's stunning coastline. Our expert pilots will take you through a number of combat moves, giving you a taste of the incredible agility and power of our aircraft. You'll feel your heart race as you experience loops, rolls, and other exhilarating manoeuvres.

Remember, you’ll be in contact with your pilot at all times and able to adjust the level of intensity instantly to suit your comfort levels.

The last section of your flight will see you fly over Sydney’s Hawkesbury River, again low level, before heading back to the hangar at Bankstown.

At the end of your Top Gun adventure flight experience, you'll land back at Bankstown Airport with a new appreciation for the Sydney's beauty and the incredible performance of a 400 horsepower radial engine warbird.

Fitness and Experience

​Generally people from 14 years up to 85 years old can partake provided you are medically fit. For those under 18 years of age we will require parent or legal guardian authorisation on the day. As this is not an experience for the faint of heart, passengers should be of good general health.

You must be agile enough to climb into the aircraft

There is no need for any previous flying experience

​Dress Code Wear enclosed footwear (no thongs or sandals) and comfortable clothing

Restrictions

Maximum weight for this experience is 115kg

Maximum height is 195cm

Avoid excessive alcohol the night before, if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol you will not be able to participate in the flight and will forfeit your voucher
