Important Information:

  • Please arrive 30 minutes before your start time.
  • Please complete our Waivers Online prior to your arrival.
  • All drivers for Powerboats must be 21 years old. Please watch Driving a boat: The basics. If you were born AFTER January 1st 1982, You will be required to pass a 10 question quiz with a 90% or better in order to obtain a temporary boaters license valid for 24 hours. Please review the Boat Rental Exam Study Guide prior to your arrival. This quiz will need to be given each time you rent with us. Each tester gets 2 chances to pass. You can have multiple drives. No refunds if your group fails to qualify to operate the watercraft.
  • NO DOCKING, NO BEACHING, NO ANCHORING, NO TUBING, NO SMOKING, PICK UP / DROP OFF AT GLW DOCK ONLY
  • You must stay inside the Cleveland Crib on the Lake (Lakewood to the west | Bratenahl to the east | Pink water intake building to the north).
  • Your time starts when the boat is ready. If you return late you will be charged overtime charges. Overtime charges are 2x your rental rate prorated in 30 minute increments. If the NS-1 bridge delays your return, give us a call and you will not be charged overtime charges.
  • We cannot control the NS-1 bridge to Lake Erie. No discounts or refunds for delays caused by the NS-1 bridge.
  • Stay away from the Break wall at all times, being too close can result in injury to person or watercraft.

Cancellation Policies

  • Cancel anytime up to 48 hours prior to your rental by emailing us at info@glwatersports.com
  • Weather Policy - The weather forecast is impossible to predict and changes by the hour. We make weather determinations around the time of your rental. Rain is not a dangerous condition. Wind, waves, thunder, and lightning are dangerous conditions.
  • If it's raining and you do not want to go out, we can issue you a gift card.
  • If weather interrupts your rental, we will issue a gift card for the time the weather interrupted your rental.
  • If we have to cancel your reservation due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, we will work with you to rebook your reservation or issue a full refund.
  • Failure to qualify as an operator of our watercraft. NO REFUNDS. We will issue you a gift card.
  • Late-arrivals will be charged the full price. NO REFUNDS.
  • No-shows will be charged the full price. NO REFUNDS.
