We're headed back to Hudson Valley for one of the most popular Halloween displays on the East Coast. These tickets are hard to find once it gets closer to October so book now and you won't have to worry about driving, tickets or reservations. We are making this trip on Sunday, Oct. 12 so it's ideal for families. And, if you're really lucky, you may have the next day off -- it's Columbus Day. The Great Jack-O'-Lantern Blaze at Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson in the beautiful historic Hudson Valley is truly an autumn wonderland. More than 7,000 pumpkins in elaborate displays choreographed to an original Blaze soundtrack await you on this walk-through adventure. Highlights are the stunning Pumpkin Planetarium and a working, lighted carousel. The Blaze is family-friendly though some of the displays may be a bit spooky. This is not a haunted tour so forget about ghosts and goblins jumping out from behind bushes and walls to scare you. Expect to see some flying ghosts and a special appearance by Sleepy Hollow's Headless Horseman, a Hudson Valley legend. Snacks and beverages are sold inside the grounds.

The Great Jack-o’-Lantern Blaze is situated on the grounds of the historic Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y. Most people take about 45 minutes to walk through Blaze. Please allow about 90 minutes for your on-site experience. Blaze is self-paced and is about a 1/2-mile walkthrough. Remember to take your time and take your pictures—it's a one-way walkthrough. Photography and videography for personal use are permitted on the grounds but tripods, monopods and drones are prohibited.
There are no food stops along the way so you are welcome to bring a lunch or food onto the bus. Snacks and beverages are sold at the Blaze.
If you require special assistance when boarding the bus or if you are bringing a walker or wheelchair, please specify this in the “Comments” section when making your reservation. This is a walking tour of the Halloween display. Blaze is handicap-accessible, as there are no stairs to negotiate through the installation. However, there are some narrow and slightly sloped brick paths and it is a walk-through experience along uneven, unpaved, soft-surface terrain, which may feature gravel or wood chips. Strollers are permitted, but strollers which are particularly wide may not fit through some of the site’s more narrow passageways.
Payment for all day trips must be made in full at the time of booking.
All sales are final. Refunds will not be issued for this tour. Therefore, we recommend trip cancellation insurance. You may contact your insurance agent or go to www.travelinsurance.com where you may compare rates and purchase online. If it becomes necessary for Martz Bus to cancel a tour, the full price will be refunded. You have the option of receiving a refund in the form of a gift certificate that may be redeemed for a future Martz Tour.
