8 Weeks 30 Minute sessions
Once skaters are safe and comfortable moving across the ice, this level will focus on initiating movement by introducing basic skating concepts, including being able to stop! Skaters will progress from walking to skating, being able to push off and balance on each foot.
We provide plenty of coaches to support all skaters and would prefer parents/guardians to support from the sidelines.
Our rinks maintain an air temperature around 10C or less, so warm layers are a must! An insulated rain jacket will keep you warm and dry, and be sure to bring long socks. We strongly recommend that young skaters wear a well-fitted bike, ice hockey or ski helmet.
The rink temperature stays around 10°C; dressing in insulated layers helps keep little skaters comfortable.
Wearing a well-fitted bike, hockey, or ski helmet is strongly recommended for safety on the ice.
Arrive 10 minutes before your lesson to check in, fit skates properly, and warm up.
The program prefers parents to observe from seating areas to avoid distractions and ensure focus.
