Skaters will be slowly introduced to the basics of ice skating with the goal of making the skater safe on the ice. Once they have been introduced to the correct way to fall and stand up on the ice, coaches will encourage skaters to find their own balance and start moving across the ice independently in both directions, forwards and backwards!
Our rinks maintain an air temperature around 10C or less, so warm layers are a must! An insulated rain jacket will keep you warm and dry, and be sure to bring long socks. We strongly recommend that young skaters wear a well-fitted bike, ice hockey or ski helmet.
Indoor rink temperatures hover around 10°C, so bring insulated jackets and long socks to stay comfortable on the ice.
Safety first: well-fitted bike, ice hockey, or ski helmets are strongly recommended for young skaters.
