8 Weeks 30 Minute sessions
Skaters in this level will continue to learn how to link multiple skills together. Basic spins, jumps and other skills should be executed at an advanced level and coaches will encourage correct posture as skaters practice these skills.
We have a fully stocked skate shop…so no need to panic if you forget your socks or gloves! Better still, we also have a cosy coffee shop so if you’re beginning to feel the cold, you can enjoy a hot drink and food, whilst you sit back, relax and view all the fast-paced action on the ice!
Our rinks maintain an air temperature of 10C so warm layers are a must! An insulated rain jacket will keep you warm and dry, and be sure to bring long socks. We strongly recommend that young skaters wear a well-fitted bike, ice hockey or ski helmet.
The rink temperature is around 10°C; insulated jackets and long socks help you stay comfortable on ice.
Arriving 10 minutes before your session allows time to get fitted with rented skates and be mentally prepared.
Young skaters should wear a helmet (bike, hockey, or ski) for safety during training sessions.
Take breaks in the coffee shop to warm up and stay hydrated during intense skating practice.
Iceworld Olympic Ice Rinks is a key facility supporting ice sports in Queensland, a region where indoor rinks provide rare access to year-round ice skating.
