8 Weeks 30 Minute sessions
Ice dance is one of the skating disciplines and this class will cater for those with a particular interest. All about rhythm and patterns, ice dance differs from figure skating by focusing primarily on footwork and edges rather than jumps and spins. In this level coaches will assist skaters in advancing the skills pertinent to ice dance.
Note: It is a pre-requisite of this class to have passed Aussie Skate™ Test 7-8.
We have a fully stocked skate shop…so no need to panic if you forget your socks or gloves! Better still, we also have a cosy coffee shop so if you’re beginning to feel the cold, you can enjoy a hot drink and food, whilst you sit back, relax and view all the fast-paced action on the ice!
Our rinks maintain an air temperature of 10C so warm layers are a must! An insulated rain jacket will keep you warm and dry, and be sure to bring long socks. We strongly recommend that young skaters wear a well-fitted bike, ice hockey or ski helmet.
The rink maintains a cool temperature around 10°C, so wearing warm layers including insulated jackets and long socks helps you stay comfortable.
Check in 10 minutes before your lesson to ensure smooth skate fitting and warm-up time on site.

Refuel with snacks and hot drinks from the onsite café to keep your energy up between lessons.
