Embark on an exhilarating 8-week journey into the world of ice skating, perfect for complete beginners. Learn essential skills like falling safely, finding balance, and gliding effortlessly in both directions. With expert coaching, you'll master direction changes, crossovers, and even basic jumps, ensuring a fun and memorable experience on the ice.
8 Weeks 30 Minute sessions
Complete beginners start here and they will be slowly introduced to the basics of ice skating with the goal of making the skater safe on the ice. Once they have been introduced to the correct way to fall and stand up on the ice, coaches will encourage skaters to find their own balance and start moving across the ice independently in both directions, forwards and backwards!
Our rinks maintain an air temperature of 10C so warm layers are a must! An insulated rain jacket will keep you warm and dry, and be sure to bring long socks.
Iceworld maintains air temperatures around 10°C; wear insulated jackets and long socks to stay warm on the ice.
Plan to arrive 10 minutes before your lesson to smoothly collect skate hire and settle in before hitting the ice.
Though optional for adults, wearing a helmet reduces injury risk during falls or practicing jumps.
Learning to fall safely is a priority in this course and helps build your confidence on the ice.
