A cold wind moves across the ridge as visitors arrive at a rustic log cabin, windows fogging where warm light meets the dark. From this high point north of Fairbanks, the sky becomes the main attraction: curtains of green and purple that can swell and sweep across the horizon, or whisper faintly along the stars.
