A cold wind from the high ridges meets travelers as the van climbs away from Marrakech; within 90 minutes the city’s heat gives way to terraced fields, stone Berber houses, and the pine-scented air of the Imlil Valley. By the time the guide pours sweet mint tea on a sunny rooftop, the trailhead at roughly 1,700 m feels like stepping into another rhythm—slow, deliberate, upward.

Suitable for hikers in reasonably good cardio shape who can sustain steady uphill walking and short steep sections.
Plan on about 1.5 hours each way; the itinerary includes vehicle transfers to and from Imlil.
