##Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary is excited to host WILD ENCOUNTERS with your choice of black bears, red ruffed/ring-tailed lemurs, kinkajous, raccoons, otters, and lynx/serval.
You can expect to meet YRWS keepers, meet the animal of your choice, and participate in species-specific enrichment/training.
Bring your cameras to document this special time.
There will be no direct interaction with the animals during the Wild Encounter.
Touching the animals will not be permitted. The animals can choose to participate, and their interaction with you is not guaranteed.
Encounters are available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 2 PM.

Individuals with a disability who require the assistance of a support person should email us to discuss before making reservations so we can provide the appropriate support needed to ensure the best Wild Encounter experience. However, at this time, we cannot accommodate service animals in behind-the-scenes areas.

The Sanctuary grounds involve gentle paths; comfortable shoes will keep you steady during your visit.
Animals are sensitive to noise, so speak softly to avoid disturbing them and interrupting training sessions.
Photography opportunities abound; ensure your camera or smartphone battery is fully charged to capture every moment.
