You step off a sun-warmed cobble and the Acropolis watches, white stone unblinking above the tangle of alleys. The air carries espresso steam, sesame from freshly baked koulouri, and the faint citrus of orange trees that punctuate Plaka’s small squares. This two-hour private walking tour threads through Athens’ layered past: Byzantine chapels tucked between neoclassical facades, Ottoman-era lanes, and the hulking marble geometry of classical ruins visible at every turn.
