A cold December evening in Asheville's South Slope feels alive — steam from a brewery vent, the murmur of a crowd, and a single voice calling out the opening lines of Dickens. You move from doorway to doorway, four craft pubs marked on a short walking loop, while a theatrical guide—part storyteller, part instigator—leads scenes from A Christmas Carol between pint pours. The night alternates between communal cheer and moments of quieter, staged readings that tighten the story's emotional pull.
