2 days (4 hours classroom combined with 12 hrs of water experience)
ABOUT
This 2-day course is designed for individuals with limited or no sailing experience. We highly recommend this for the novice sailor. Instruction is broken up between on the water and classroom time.
TRAINING OBJECTIVES
-knowledge of basic auxiliary power theory -engine and steering controls in small quarters and in marina setting -proper use of dock lines, line handling, knot tying, crew communication and safety throughout arrival and departure of vessel -forces that act upon boat and how to control them -Will complete docking styles of bow-in, stern-in and side-tie several times over
Prerequisite: Willingness to have a good time.##

All of our instructors are US Coast Guard Licensed and ASA Certified.
At SailTime Houston classes are taught aboard the NEWEST and most MODERN fleet of monohulls and catamarans in the area.
