Students will learn skills to perform as skipper or crew of a 30-50 foot boat by sailing in coastal waters. Some of the topics covered are the boat’s systems, operating the boat under power by practicing docking and close quarter maneuvering plus more sailing techniques. Upon completion of the course students will be able to demonstrate the ability to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered (outboard or inboard engine) keelboat of approximately 25 to 35 feet length, by day, in moderate winds and sea conditions.
Must already have Certification in ASA 101. Course includes your textbook, logbook, fee for certification
Please bring your lunch, soft-soled shoes, water or other beverages, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat if you’d like.
Water and wind can make temperatures fluctuate, so wear layers you can add or remove easily.

Bring a water bottle to keep hydrated, especially on warm days during summer sailing lessons.
