About This Adventure

Embark on an exciting two-day ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Sailing Class, perfect for beginners! Learn to skipper a Beneteau Oceanis 30.1 in Santa Monica Bay, covering essential sailing skills and safety procedures. With expert instructors and a maximum of three students per class, enjoy personalized, top-quality sailing instruction.

ASA 101 Basic Keelboat Sailing Class:

This 2-day course is designed for individuals with limited or no sailing experience. Includes a 3 months ASA membership and a free one day rental on a Beneteau Oceanis 30.1 (valid up to 3 months after receiving ASA 101 certification).

Description:

  • Learn to skipper on a Beneteau Oceanis 30.1 keelboat by day, in light to moderate winds and sea conditions.
  • The educational objectives include nautical terminology, sail theory, points of sail, seamanship and safety procedures, basic rules of the road, knot tying, and line handling.
  • Prerequisite: Willingness to have a good time.
