About This Adventure

Embark on an unforgettable sailing journey with the ASA 101, 103, 104/114 Combo Course. Master the art of sailing from basic keelboat skills to advanced catamaran cruising, all while enjoying personalized instruction aboard modern Beneteau and Lagoon vessels. ASA 101, 103, 104,114 Combo Course

ASA 101 - Basic Keelboat Sailing:

  • Learn to skipper a 22' - 27' sloop-rigged keelboat by day, in light to moderate winds and sea conditions. Learn sailing terminology, parts, and functions, helm commands, basic sail trim, points of sail, buoyage, seamanship and safety including basic navigation rules to avoid collisions and hazards.

ASA 103 - Coastal Cruising:

  • Learn to skipper a sloop-rigged auxiliary powered 35'-41' keelboat by day in moderate winds and sea conditions. Learn cruising sailboat terminology, boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, docking procedures, intermediate sail trim, navigation rules, basic coastal navigation, anchoring, weather, safety, and seamanship.

ASA 104/114 - Bareboat Cruising Catamaran:

  • Learn how to sail a 40ft rigged catamaran, auxiliary powered during a 3 day cruise to Catalina Island in moderate/heavy winds and sea conditions
  • Learn about provisioning, galley operations, boat systems, auxiliary engine operation, routine maintenance procedures, advanced sail trim, coastal navigation including basic chart plotting and GPS operation, docking, health & safety, emergency operations, weather interpretation, and dinghy/tender operation.
  • Learn about catamaran structure, components and features, performance under sail and power, boat systems, seamanship and safety, heavy weather operation, and emergency response.
  • Prerequisites: ASA101 and ASA 103

  • The class prices include all materials, certifications, fees, and taxes. Mooring fees are not included.
