About This Adventure

Embark on a unique Dalí adventure from Barcelona, exploring the surrealist's roots in Figueres and the enchanting Dalí-Gala Castle in Púbol. Enjoy a private vehicle ride through stunning Catalonia, visit the iconic Dalí Theatre-Museum, and uncover the intimate story of Dalí and Gala, making for an unforgettable experience.

Our plan

Start your day by getting picked up at your hotel or apartment in Barcelona. Get prepared to experience a full day of stories about Dalí and Gala.

About

Get on the road into a private vehicle to head to the first destination of your day. Enjoy the beautiful countryside while driving to Figueres, Dalí’s birthplace, only fifteen kilometers away from the Mediterranean Sea, at the foot of the Pyrenees and surrounded by three natural parks. Get to know the place where the painter spent his early years.

Dalí wanted to leave a mark on his own native city and decided to build the Dali Theatre-Museum upon the ruins of the old municipal theatre. This present that Dali gave to the city is considered as the largest work of surrealist art in the world. Plunge deep into the painter's creative mind by visiting the museum and experiencing a comprehensive collection of the peculiar exhibitions. Get prepared to be amazed by this inspiring piece of art that will definitely mark your day.

Get back on the road to drive to Púbol, where the Dalí-Gala Castle Museum-house stands. This Castle was home to Dalí and his wife and muse, Gala. There, she spent her summers from 1971 to 1980, and Dalí agreed to not visit her without having Gala´s permission. When Gala died in 1982, she got buried at the castle, inside a mausoleum, designed by Dalí. The artist spent two years of his life in the castle after Gala’s death.
