You push off from the parking area and the volcanic plain opens—black glassy flows giving way to pine stands that smell resin and ash. The e‑bike’s motor hums; the trail climbs through old lava, then eases into a ribbon of singletrack where wind-carved scoria dares your tires and the pines seem to lean in to listen.

Moderately fit: comfortable with sustained pedaling, some climbs and technical descents; e‑assist reduces strain but terrain is uneven.
You should know how to ride a bicycle and be comfortable with basic off‑road skills; guides offer instruction but not beginner biking lessons.
E‑MTB, helmet, backpack, certified nature guide/instructor, transfers from the Etna cable car point, and support vehicle back to the meeting spot.
Lunch is not included; there are planned stops where you can eat if you bring food or purchase at local refuges when available.
Tours are canceled for safety in poor weather or insufficient participants; the cancellation policy allows a full refund if canceled 24 hours in advance.
