You step off the boat in Vila do Abraão and the island inhales salt and green—trails punch inland through Atlantic Forest, then spill onto beaches rimmed by steep headlands. The first morning you cross black-sand coves and old stonework from a 19th-century quarantine post; by dusk you’re camped on a remote shore listening to waves that seem to dare you to stay awake.

High level of cardiovascular fitness and experience with multi-day trekking; comfortable carrying a daypack and walking consecutive long days.
You should be comfortable hiking 5–9 hours a day over steep, uneven terrain for multiple consecutive days; prior multi-day trek experience is strongly recommended.
One night may be camping at Parnaioca depending on availability and permissions; other nights are in shared domestic lodgings or simple B&Bs.
Cell signal is intermittent outside Vila do Abraão; Parnaioca has very limited electricity and no mobile coverage—plan accordingly for offline needs.
Some beaches (Sul/Leste) are in a Biological Reserve; crossing depends on INEA authorization and guides will handle permits—alternatively the group may use boat transfers.
