About

As a farm dedicated to planting aromatic and medicinal herbs organically, we are aware of the importance of biodiversity and we have taken multiple actions to support it. We revitalized our farm’s century-old olive grove; we created an apiary, due to the great importance of bees for the ecosystem; and we collected and propagated species of endemic and native wild plants.

We also planted melliferous flowers and enriched our riparian gallery with more species of trees and shrubs, in order to provide more shelter for the birdlife that already exists there.

Next to our pond, and in order to retain water and provide shelter for a variety of bird species, we plant and replace plantspical of this ecosystem. We constantly seek a balance. We are only a plantation of aromatic herbs, we strive for a balances balanced ecosystem.

A Tour where you get to discover and “taste” the production of our farm, and where you get to leave with insight into the use of the many Portuguese aromatic herbs. You will learn to identify aromatic herbs typical from Alentejo, long been used in gastronomical and medicinal uses, as well as the harvesting and drying methods. The tour includes a tasting of all our products, such as our herbal infusions, our honey, our olive oil, seasoning herbs, as well as our liqueurs.
