Our exploration continues to the famous Mycenae ‘Rich in Gold’, the kingdom of mythical Agamemnon and the most important and richest palatial center of the Late Bronze Age in Greece.Among the highlights are the Treasure of Atreus, the most impressive of the preserved Mycenaean tholos tombs, and the famous Lion’s Gate, the symbol of the Mycenaean rulers’ power.

Visit the picturesque port town of Nafplio which was the first capital of Greece after the Greek War of Independence in 1821 with outstanding neoclassical buildings.Take a walk around the old town and enjoy a light lunch or refreshment while visiting the fabulus Bourgi Castle.

Visit the extraordinary well preserved Ancient Theater of Epidaurus famous for its acoustic (still operated during summer).

On the way back to Athens you will have a quick stop in the famous Corinth Canal which connects the Saronic Gulf with the Corintian Gulf and separates the Peloponnese region from the rest mainland Greece.
