Morning mist clings to the trees as you step onto the first suspension bridge, the wooden planks humming slightly beneath each footfall and the rainforest opening above and below. The Mistico Hanging Bridges trail threads roughly 3 km of well-maintained paths and suspended bridges that put you level with the canopy, offering a close vantage on epiphytes, orchids and birdlife while Arenal Volcano sometimes peeks through cloud and steam.

The guided experience typically lasts about three hours and covers roughly 3 km of trails and bridges.
Visibility depends on weather—Arenal is often visible in clear mornings but can be hidden by clouds and mist, especially in the rainy season.
Many paths and bridges are accessible and family-friendly, but there are steps and uneven sections; check specific accessibility notes and request assistance if needed.
Common sightings include toucans, hummingbirds, howler monkeys and sloths; sightings vary by season and time of day.
The park sits on land shaped by Arenal’s volcanic activity; infrastructure emphasizes education about succession and rainforest recovery after eruptions in the 20th century.
Mistico Park operates with low-impact walkways and guided education to reduce disturbance; visitors are asked to stick to trails and avoid feeding wildlife.
Go Adventure Arenal Park operates guided outdoor trips and adventures with an emphasis on safety, stewardship, and memorable experiences.
