A low timber-framed barn opens onto a wide river valley under a pale sky. You step into a horse-drawn sleigh at Flatmoen Gård and the world slows: runners whisper over snow, the horses breathe steam into cold air, and the Alta River dares you to look beyond the frozen surface. The ride follows gentle fields and river flats, offering close-up views of the ridge lines and treeless plateaus that define northern Finnmark.
