About

  • Even starting with no knowledge we are confident that you will achieve a good score by the end of the session.

  • An experienced instructor will guide you through the art of using a recurve longbow (a normal bow and arrow!) at our 100 acre activity centre in Warwick.

  • A series of practice arrows will allow the basics to be mastered before the session moves on to a competition round (usually 9 arrows per person).

  • Throughout the duration of the event most participants will see a real improvement in their accuracy and ability. Most people begin with no experience and can only just get an arrow on target – by the end of the session some impressive scores can be achieved.

  • All participants need to be 10 years old or over. Those aged under 16 years need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • All Archery sessions are booked in advance – we don’t offer any “turn up and shoot” sessions.

Your session includes

  • The archery range is equipped with full sized high density foam target bosses faced with Olympic specification target faces.

  • The shooting positions are fully covered, in case of poor weather, to provide a comfortable area to learn to shoot.

  • Modern recurve archery bows are used that are suitable for most participants - we have right and left handed bows and there is no requirement for strength as the bows have a low draw weight.

Who can take part?

All participants must be 10 years old or over and at least 147 cm tall (58 inches). The bows used are light weight and are easy to draw back reducing the need for too much strength to take part.
