You step onto the MERAKI at Paroikia as the harbor yawns open and the Aegean pulls the boat away from shore. Salt stings, gulls circle, and the bow cuts toward Antiparos; the sea seems to dare you to jump in. Over seven hours the day is paced by anchorages: cobalt caves, small turquoise islets, cliff jump points and the calm beaches of Despotiko.
