The day starts with a hotel pick-up in Antalya and a jump into a rattling jeep that climbs a mountain track, throwing dust into the air as it heads toward a river gorge. A guide checks harnesses and helmets; the canyon river below seems to dare you as foam and current thread between limestone walls.

The rafting canyons cut through limestone formed in a shallow sea millions of years ago; the Taurus region has hosted trade routes and small farming communities for centuries.
Stick to marked trails and avoid single-use plastics; operators often follow leave-no-trace practices to protect riverbanks and wooded slopes.
