The Annapurna Conservation Area was established in 1986 as Nepal’s first protected area to combine conservation with local livelihoods; Gurung and Magar communities have long managed highland pastures and trails.
Visitors should respect ACAP rules—stick to trails, pack out waste where possible, and use licensed guides/teahouses that follow local waste-management practices.
Great Vision Treks & Expedition operates guided outdoor trips and adventures with an emphasis on safety, stewardship, and memorable experiences.
