You step onto a low-slung speedboat at the Angra dos Reis pier as the morning sun chisels the contours of nearby islands. The engine hums, the wake hisses, and the first glimpse of the Botinas’ twin rock formations appears like two guards rising from turquoise water. The sea dares you forward—clear enough to see the sandy bottom and darting fish below.
easy.
5 hours.
Suitable for most people with basic mobility; participants should be comfortable boarding a low boat and getting in/out of water for short swims.
Departure is from the Angra dos Reis meeting point shown on your booking; arrive at least 15 minutes before departure for check-in and safety briefing.
Basic snorkeling access and floating noodles are available, but bringing your own mask/snorkel provides a better fit and hygiene.
Lunch is optional and typically available at Praia das Flechas; the tour does not include food or drinks by default.
Infants must sit on an adult's lap; non-swimmers can still join but should use a life vest and stay within supervised areas.
Angra dos Reis grew as a colonial port and fishing hub; many islands retain caiçara cultural traces and small family-run beach restaurants.
These waters host sensitive coral and seagrass beds—use reef-safe products, avoid touching coral, and follow crew instructions to minimize impact.
